The cornerstone program of the American Property Claims solution is the coupling of a top quality property damage appraisal, linked with an online system, housing data and providing instant accessibility to claims. Our highly trained staff of inspectors are positioned throughout our coverage areas, to provide accurate and clear reports of their inspection. Each inspector completes an itemized cost of repairs utilizing industry standard appraisal software and digital imaging converted to an easy format for viewing. Each report consists of the estimated amount of repairs, digital images, a diagram of the damage, replacement cost value/actual cash value, and any additional information requested or noted during the inspection. All inspections are customized to comply with insurance company guidelines, and must meet the requirements of the Fair Claims Settlement Practice Regulations. Once an appraisal is complete, it is uploaded via our DirectLink data warehousing system where we maintain and audit files. Our system of auditing and random re-inspection programs enables us to ensure appraisal consistency throughout all service areas, at the same time providing complete control to the insurance adjuster responsible for the claim.

Reviews

Our system helps our clients control severity and save thousands of dollars each month. We conduct reviews of contractor estimates or subrogation demands from insurance carriers for payment consideration. Our process evaluates the estimate and rewrites it if necessary based on industry standards combined with your company guidelines for a fair settlement. If an agreed price is requested, a copy of the contractor estimate and our estimate is either faxed or e-mailed to the contractor and agreed price obtained. The APC review program provides a 48-hour turnaround time on 90% of all review assignments received.

Contents Losses

When handling contents losses claims we provide personalized service to each insured while resolving these files quickly. We provide a contents form to the claimant, expediting the process and then do a complete estimate with depreciation along with a full summary report. Many times coverage A and B can take longer to resolve due to the extent of damages so a claiment may be able to realize full payment for their contents loss much faster than their entire property loss.
